المصدر 24 - تشهد إيران أزمة جفاف غير مسبوقة تؤثر على سدود تزود العاصمة الإيرانية طهران بالمياه، خصوصاً سد أمير كبير الذي انخفض مخزونه بشكل حاد، وهو ما يثير مخاوف كبيرة بشأن استدامة إمدادات المياه لطهران التي يبلغ عدد سكانها أكثر من 10 ملايين نسمة.

وأكد المدير التنفيذي لشركة مياه طهران محسن أردكاني عدم وجود أي خطط لتقنين أو قطع المياه في طهران، مشيراً إلى أن ما تقوم به الشركة هو «إدارة الضغط الأقصى» نتيجة استمرار الجفاف.

رغم ذلك، حذر أردكاني من استمرار الحالة الصعبة جراء نقص الأمطار وعدم وجود هطول جيد للموسم، مما يضع موارد المياه تحت ضغط شديد.

وقال أردكاني إن تقنين أو قطع المياه ليسا مطروحين في الوقت الحالي رسمياً، لكنه تحدث عن تقنين محتمل وعمليات قطع مياه ليلاً في بعض الأحياء؛ بسبب أزمة الجفاف التي دخلت عامها السادس.

وتابع أردكاني: «خلال ساعات الليل سيخفض الضغط في نصف طهران والنصف الآخر في الليلة التالية».

Iran is experiencing an unprecedented drought crisis that is affecting the reservoirs supplying water to the Iranian capital, Tehran, particularly the Amir Kabir Dam, which has seen a sharp decline in its water levels. This raises significant concerns about the sustainability of water supplies for Tehran, which has a population of over 10 million people.

The executive director of Tehran Water Company, Mohsen Ardakani, confirmed that there are no plans to ration or cut water in Tehran, noting that what the company is doing is "managing maximum pressure" due to the ongoing drought.

Nevertheless, Ardakani warned of the continued difficult situation due to a lack of rainfall and insufficient precipitation for the season, which puts water resources under severe pressure.

Ardakani stated that rationing or cutting water is not officially on the table at the moment, but he spoke about the possibility of rationing and nighttime water cuts in some neighborhoods due to the drought crisis, which has entered its sixth year.

He added, "During the nighttime, the pressure will be reduced in half of Tehran, and the other half will experience this the following night."
